I am retired now after many years in engineering management in the Military/Aerospace business. I listen to this man talk but Taco Bell has certainly not been doing well during his tenure as CEO. I have eaten at Taco Bell for 50 years. There have been many changes to their menu during this time. Unfortunately, Taco Bell has deleted their best, most successful menu items without ever giving a reason. For example, certain menu items have been around for as long as I can remember. These were Enchirito's, Tostada's, Mexican Pizza's, and others that were very popular. Having said that Taco Bell decided that these would be sold but NOT ADVERTIZED on the store menu! If you want one of those unlisted items you would simply ask the employee and they would make it for you. I want you to remember these were intentionally removed from the MENU by who knows who. Instead of increasing the Menu Sign area, they just deleted these loved items. Then no wonder the revenue dropped on these. YOU HAVE TO ADVERTISE THEM (BASIC Marketing 101).to sell them! By the time this man took over as CEO he likely saw the revenue on each item and noticed that these were hardly being sold. So these were completely NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE AT ANY PRICE. His people are not telling him the truth so that their bad decisions will not have ramifications for them. Another example is the INSANE changes of some of the very best items Taco Bell has ever created. They come for a month or two and then disappear off the menu and you are not allowed to have them at any price (I've asked). This makes no sense because I've spoken with many hundreds of people who love those items and feel the same way. Why is it that Taco Bell does this? It is NOT WORKING for you, Sir or your company! I rarely go to Taco Bell anymore because if I order through their drive though they employee does not fill the order correctly. They constantly run out of salt and pepper and hot sauce. Employees lie to you right to your face when you ask them did you put salt packets in the bag? YES they say but when you get home you discover no salt or something else is wrong with the order line the wrong products. This did not happen in the past prior to this CEO. Very little food handling training, and honesty from their employees. The Company is out of control. When will this guy start visiting their restaurants (INCLUDING FRANCHISES) instead of sitting in continual meetings completely isolated from their customers and their store employees? Go in as an UNDERCOVER BOSS! Get the truth of the collapse of your business and why. Then fix it before it's too late.
